About us

Ratbagz is designed and crafted by us two; Tony, a motorcycle mechanic and Lumi with a background in fashion and design. We combined our love for fashion and rats to create our ethical and edgy brand.

Founded in October 2024, Just started out as an idea to make a bag which then turned into Ratbagz. We cant wait to continue our journey to create new ideas of bags and clothing. 

We hand sew our bagz in our small home studio in Melbourne (Naarm). At first, we considered sending our designs to a factory far from home, but the more we reflected, the more we realised that it didn’t align with our values. While we understand and respect that other brands may choose to manufacture elsewhere, it simply didn’t sit right with us. We believe in supporting our local community and ensuring that the people who help bring our vision to life are treated fairly and work in environments that reflect the ethics we stand for. For us, keeping production local not only allows us to maintain high standards, but it also ensures we’re contributing to the well-being of our hometown.
